Trước khi chuẩn bị luyện thi cho bất cứ một kỳ thi nào, bạn cũng cần nắm rõ được cấu trúc của bài thi đó. IELTS cũng không phải là ngoại lệ, việc nắm bắt từng cấu trúc phần thi sẽ hỗ trợ bạn trong quá trình thi và ôn tập, tránh những bỡ ngỡ khi vào phòng thi. Bài viết sẽ tóm tắt cấu trúc chung của bài thi IELTS và một số đề thi IELTS có thể giúp ích cho bạn.

Cấu trúc chung của đề thi IELTS

Về cấu trúc, đề thi IELTS bao gồm 4 kỹ năng Listening, Reading, Writing và Speaking.

Đề thi IELTS Listening

Đề thi IELTS Listening sẽ có 4 phần với 4 đoạn ghi âm khác nhau (đàm thoại và độc thoại). Đối với phần thi IELTS Listening bạn chỉ được nghe 1 lần duy nhất, do đó hãy cố gắng nắm bắt ý chính của đoạn ghi âm. 

4 phần của phần thi IELTS Listening như sau: 

• Phần 1: Hội thoại về cuộc sống hàng ngày giữa 2 hoặc 3 người.
• Phần 2: Một đoạn độc thoại về một chủ đề thường gặp trong cuộc sống.
• Phần 3 : Một cuộc thảo luận có tối đa là 4 người xoay quanh những chủ đề mang tính chất học thuật.
• Phần 4: Một đoạn độc thoại về một chủ đề bất kì.

Đề thi IELTS Reading (60 phút)

Đề thi IELTS Reading được chia thành 3 phần với 40 câu hỏi. Nếu muốn đạt điểm 7.0 trở lên, bạn cần đảm bảo trả lời đúng ít nhất 30 câu hỏi.

Đối với phần thi Reading, bạn nên tập thói quen cũng như phát triển kỹ năng đọc lướt và hiểu nghĩa của đoạn văn tiếng Anh. Rèn luyện mỗi ngày tốc độ tìm thông tin, từ khóa chính để nhanh chóng tìm ra được mấu chốt của bài. 

Tuy vậy, đề thi vẫn sẽ những câu hỏi đòi hỏi sự hiểu biết của bạn về đoạn văn. Chẳng hạn như những câu chọn tiêu đề phù hợp cho đoạn văn. Do đó, đối với những câu như vậy, bạn nên lưu ý đến các câu có dấu hiệu đặc biệt như: in nghiêng, viết hoa, hình ảnh hay biểu đồ.

Đề thi IELTS Speaking (10 – 15 phút)

Đề thi IELTS Speaking thì bạn sẽ có tổng cộng 10 – 15 phút. Đề thi được chia làm 3 phần dưới sự tham dự và đánh giá trực tiếp từ ban giám khảo. 

Hãy luyện tập ở nhà với người thật để khỏi bỡ ngỡ khi tiếp xúc với ban giám khảo trong phòng thi nhé. 

Phần thi bao gồm 3 Part: Part 1 kéo dài 4-5 phút, Part 2 kéo dài 1-2 phút, Part 3 kéo dài 4-5 phút. Tổng cộng lại bạn có 11-14 phút để hoàn thiện đề thi nói được giao.

Đề thi IELTS Writing (60 phút)

Đề thi IELTS Writing sẽ có 2 phần nên bạn cần phân bổ thời gian hợp lý. Task 2 có tỷ lệ điểm gấp đôi Task 1. Tổng thời gian của phần thi Writing chỉ có 60 phút nên điều này đồng nghĩa, bạn chỉ nên dành khoảng 20 phút cho Task 1 và khoảng 40 phút cho task 2.
