Jim Carrey là nam diễn viên hài Hollywood người Mỹ gốc Canada. Tên đầy đủ của anh là James Eugene Carrey. Jim sinh ngày 17/1/1962 tại một vùng ngoại ô ở đất nước “lá phong đỏ” Canada.

Nam diễn viên là một trong những gương mặt hiếm hoi mang phong cách hài slapstick hoạt náo đến gần với đại chúng. Qua hơn hai thập kỷ làm dậy sóng màn ảnh, Jim trở thành một biểu tượng hài hoạt náo kinh điển và cũng là một tấm gương vượt khó mà nhiều người trẻ hiện nay noi theo. 

Vào năm 2014, Jim Carrey góp mặt tại Đại học MIU nhằm trao gửi đến các sinh viên sắp tốt nghiệp tại đây một màn phát biểu vô cùng truyền cảm hứng. Nam diễn viên khuyến khích người trẻ hãy can đảm theo đuổi công việc mình yêu thích. Cũng như hãy nhìn nhận sự thất bại bằng góc nhìn tích cực hơn.
