  • John is as smart as Sarah. (John thông minh như Sarah.)
  • He has as many books as his sister. (Anh ấy có nhiều sách như chị gái anh ấy.)

Ví dụ:

  • She dances as gracefully as her sister. (Cô ấy nhảy đẹp như chị gái của mình.)
  • Tom plays the guitar as skillfully as his friend. (Tom chơi guitar khéo léo như bạn của anh ấy.)
  • She runs as fast as her brother. (Cô ấy chạy nhanh như anh trai của cô ấy.)
  • Peter studies as diligently as Sully’s classmates. (Peter học chăm chỉ như bạn Sully cùng lớp.)

So sánh bằng với danh từ

Cấu trúc 1:

S + V + as + many/much/little/few + noun + as + noun/pronoun

Trong đó:

  • Many: Có nghĩa là nhiều, được sử dụng với danh từ đếm được số nhiều.
  • Much: Có nghĩa là nhiều, thường dùng với danh từ không đếm được.
  • Few: Dùng với danh từ đếm được, có nghĩa là rất ít, không đủ, thường mang sắc thái tiêu cực (ý muốn nói số lượng quá ít, không đủ để làm gì đó).
  • Little: Có nghĩa là rất ít, không đủ, dùng với danh từ không đếm được và mang sắc thái tiêu cực.

Ví dụ:

  • My garden has as many flowers as your garden. (Vườn của tôi có nhiều hoa như vườn của bạn.)
  • She drinks as much coffee as her brother does. (Cô ấy uống nhiều cà phê như anh trai của mình.)
  • They don’t eat as much fruit as we do. (Họ không ăn nhiều trái cây như chúng tôi.)
  • Leo doesn’t have as many toys as his neighbor. (Leo không có nhiều đồ chơi như hàng xóm của mình.)
  • This school provides as few opportunities as the old one. (Trường này cung cấp ít cơ hội như trường cũ.)

Cấu trúc mở rộng của so sánh bằng

S + to be + not + different from + O

Ví dụ:

  • This recipe is not different from the one my mother used. (Công thức này không khác gì công thức mà mẹ tôi đã sử dụng.)
  • Her opinion is not different from mine. (Quan điểm của cô ấy không khác gì quan điểm của tôi.)
  • The two paintings are not different from each other. (Hai bức tranh này không khác nhau.)
